We Are Not Falling Behind
My Response To The A.I-Hype
The AI gurus are working hard to make us feel we are missing the A.I - race.
If you hang out on Twitter, you might have seen those “If you’re not using AI, you’re falling behind” - tweets. One of those appeared in my flow the other day, and I had to comment it before muting the user.
What surprised me was the engagement my response got. It is the most liked tweet I got since I started to use Twitter back in 2019. I got a free ride on the A.I.-hype.

The engagement keeps ticking and the only reason for that is that the original tweet managed to attract users based on a click-bate.

The main message is not too bad but it sends the wrong signals.
Both Martin and David above know that F.O.M.O (Fear Of Missing Out) is real and people sign up for everything that will ease their fear. Plus, if it is delivered in a nice package you have most probably collected lots of new email addresses and potential customers to your business.
That is what it’s all about. Business. Driven by the A.I hype.
So my message to you as my valuable member of a curious inner circle is:
Don’t fall for the hype, and stay calm.
Shift the energy towards curiosity and start playing around with the tools in a more elaborate way. Without the feeling that you are missing out on something.
Enjoy this time and play with the tools available.
We need to realize we live in a very exciting time, and my wild guess is that all of us will be able to elevate our living standards in the long-term.
New opportunities will arise, and we all have a part to play in the development. As long as we stay calm in this turbulent age and do not fall for panic.
